As a machinery/piping designer, you will work as part of the production planning team, where you are responsible for the production planning of the ship's machinery areas. In your position, you prepare the design documents needed for production and ensure the quality and timely completion of the design material. You will work in close cooperation with basic design, production and other stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to participate in demanding shipbuilding projects and see the results of the design work as part of the completed vessels. Your duties include, among other things: - 3D modeling and design of machinery areas with CADMATIC software - producing documents related to pre-fabrication and installation for production use - cooperation with basic design, production and other design fields - ensuring the schedule and quality of the design tasks in your area of responsibility In your work, you also promote our company's HSE goals and participate in building a safer, healthier and more environmentally friendly working environment. What do we expect from you: A technical education suitable for the position (engineer or master of science in technology) provides good prerequisites for success in the position. You can be an experienced designer or a future professional at the beginning of your career. We hope for: - suitable technical education (engineer or master of science in technology) or being in the final stages of studies - interest in technical design work and a desire to develop your skills - experience in design tasks and 3D design systems (e.g. CADMATIC or CATIA) - knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 software - good cooperation and interaction skills - fluent Finnish and sufficient English language skills We also value a proactive approach, willingness to learn and interest in developing operating methods together with the rest of the team. Experience in shipbuilding is considered an advantage, but you will grow into a shipbuilder under the guidance of experienced experts.
