About the role

**Mechanical Designer – Come design the machines of the future** **We design machines in Finland with societal significance** For over 40 years, we have developed and manufactured high-quality aerial work platforms and special machines known for their reliability, safety, and long service life. Our products are used in the construction industry, industry, and demanding official and infrastructure sites in Finland and internationally. Now we are building the next generation. We are developing even smarter, more electrified, and higher-performance machines, as well as new solutions for demanding operating environments. Our future products combine strong mechanics, modern software, automation, and safety – with the goal of building the best machines on the market for decades to come. **Do you want to design machines that are actually built?** With us, you won't design one small part of a large whole – **you design entire machines**. We are looking for an experienced and motivated **mechanical designer** to strengthen our product development team. We offer the opportunity to participate in the development of new products from idea to finished product and to significantly influence their technical solutions. If you want to see your own handiwork in production, on customers' construction sites, and in international markets, this job may be just for you. **What will you be doing?** In your work, you will: - design entire machines and equipment systems - develop new products from the first sketch to series production - model structures using 3D CAD software - create manufacturing drawings and technical documentation - develop safe, lightweight, and cost-effective structural solutions - participate in the construction and testing of prototypes - work closely with production, procurement, sales, and customers - influence the future technologies of the products. **What do we expect from you?** We hope that you have: - a degree in engineering (Bachelor's or Master's) - experience in machine design - good 3D CAD skills - understanding of welded steel structures, machining, and manufacturability - the ability to solve technical challenges creatively and practically - fluent Finnish language skills and the ability to work in English. It is considered an advantage if the applicant is interested in learning about some of the following areas: - hydraulics - FEM strength calculations - mobile machinery (UGV) - electric powertrains - automation or robotics. **Why us?** We offer more than just design work. **You have a real impact.** Your ideas can end up in next-generation products – without heavy organizational structures. **You see the results of your work.** Your plans turn into prototypes, production, and daily use by customers. **You grow as a professional.** You will work with experienced experts and participate in the entire product development process. **Versatility is part of everyday life.** One day you solve a challenging structural issue, the next you are testing a new machine or developing a completely new product feature. **We are building the future.** We are developing electric powertrains, smart control systems, automation, and new solutions that improve safety, productivity, and sustainability. We also offer: - a permanent position in a stable and growing Finnish technology company - a competitive salary - flexible working hours - modern design tools - opportunities for continuous training - a competent and approachable work community - the opportunity to influence the company's future products. **What kind of person will succeed in the role?** You are motivated by developing new solutions. You want to understand how the machine works as a whole, not just design individual parts. You enjoy technical challenges, dare to propose new solutions, and drive things determinedly to completion. You are proactive, collaborative, and want to constantly learn new things. Above all, you want to be proud of the products you helped design. **Come build the future with us.** If you believe that the best machines are created through the cooperation of skilled people, we want to hear from you. Send your application, CV, and salary expectations as soon as possible. We review applications during the application period and will fill the position as soon as a suitable person is found. **More information about the position:** Harri Plukka CEO 044-3474480 harri.plukka@dexterlifts.com
