Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are seeking a sensitive, motivated, and enthusiastic early childhood education teacher to join our early childhood education team. We value a pedagogical, developing, and evaluative approach, good teamwork skills, and a positive attitude. Early childhood education is highly valued in our municipality. Our daycare and pre-primary education facilities are new and modern, and the playgrounds are versatile and safe. The surrounding areas offer diverse opportunities for movement and activities in nature, which we utilize daily. Our work community has an encouraging attitude toward physical activity. Municipal employees have access to a free gym located in the same building as the daycare. We focus on positive pedagogy as well as emotional and interaction skills. You will have the opportunity to help develop the close network of early childhood educators in Paltamo. We offer, among other things, regular meetings for permanent teachers, flexible SAK and working hour arrangements, and excellent opportunities for further training. Eligibility requirement: Qualification in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). At least a Bachelor of Education degree including early childhood education teacher training, or a University of Applied Sciences degree in social services and health care (early childhood education). In the absence of qualified applicants, early childhood education teachers in the process of graduating will also be considered. Working hours: 38.25 h/week. Probationary period: six months. The selected candidate must present an acceptable medical certificate of fitness for the position, a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002), and a drug test certificate.
