Service Coordinator, Elderly Services, Housing Services, Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland - Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue

The position combines customer-oriented service coordination, decision-making, and the coordination of housing service placements throughout the Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland. Your Role We are seeking a Service Coordinator for the customer guidance and social work services for the elderly in the Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland. Your duties involve service coordination for elderly housing services and the placement management of housing service spots. You will work as part of the elderly customer guidance and social work entity, where you will be responsible for advising customers and their loved ones, assessing service needs, managing customer relationships, and making official decisions. You will work closely with customers, relatives, elderly service areas, other result areas, and private service providers. Customer and service guidance is carried out by telephone and through home visits. In the placement team, you will be responsible for coordinating housing service spots for the elderly in Varha, granting placements, decision-making, and ensuring customer information is up to date. Through your work, you ensure smooth service paths and support timely decision-making in cooperation with a wide network of partners. The work is mobile resource work, and you will move to different parts of the Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland as needed. You may state your primary workplace preference for Turku, Kaarina, or Raisio, but your area of work is the entire Varha region. Your supervisor will be the Service Manager. What We Expect From You You will succeed in this position if you have a good knowledge of elderly services and the ability to act in a customer-oriented manner in various situations. Additionally, we value: - Good interaction and cooperation skills - Organizational skills and the ability to operate in a schedule-driven environment - Fast problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions - Knowledge of the regulated operating environment of social and health care - Expertise in service need assessment and the RAI functional capacity scale - A driver's license and access to a private car. Language requirements include good oral and written Finnish skills and satisfactory oral and written Swedish skills. Good Swedish language skills are considered an advantage. Eligibility requires a suitable university degree in social work or a previous institute-level degree.
