Job Description
Are you an early childhood education teacher or a student in the field who wants to develop new approaches and work child-centered? Do you enjoy small group activities and value a natural work environment? Do you feel comfortable working with children aged 1-5? If you recognize yourself, you might be the colleague we are looking for! We are seeking a full-time early childhood education teacher for a permanent position at Luhtaniityn Daycare Center in Espoo. In your work, you will: - act as the pedagogical leader of your team - build high-quality early childhood education together with your team - ensure that each child is met individually during the day We offer you: - a supportive and encouraging work community where humor is appreciated - strong pedagogical support (unit manager, assistant manager, comprehensive special education teacher, and language and culture teacher) - opportunities to utilize and develop your strengths Luhtaniityn Daycare Center is a single-story building with two close-knit groups working in collaboration: Satumetsä and Taikaniitty. Children in Satumetsä are from Karhunpesä and Ketunkolo groups, while in Taikaniitty, children are from Ötököt and Pörriäiset groups. Our small group activities are integrated into daily routines, and groups are formed flexibly based on children's needs. Additionally, an active parent association enriches our activities by organizing experiences for children. Our work community is a balanced mix of experienced professionals and new talents — you will not be alone. Workplace name and address: Luhtaniityn Daycare Center, Luhtatie 2, 02760 Espoo Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week The position is permanent, starting from August 3, 2026. Qualifications: Qualification according to the Finnish Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Education, including early childhood education teacher training, or a social and health care degree (early childhood education) or an equivalent previous qualification, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social educator (Act 272/2005 and Regulation 608/2005). Recent graduates in early childhood education are also considered. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act (6.2 §). The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to clarify tuberculosis exposure risk.
