We are seeking a nurse for a fixed-term employment contract from September 1, 2026, to November 1, 2027, for the Runokulma unit in disability services in Keuruu. Runokulma is a home for 15 adults with intellectual disabilities who require 24-hour care, guidance, and support. The work is performed with great heart as part of a multidisciplinary team that supports the residents' own resources and functional capacity. The goal is to create a safe and meaningful environment where our residents can live a dignified life true to themselves. As a nurse, your work focuses on client-oriented care and guidance. Your duties include supporting the health and functional capacity of residents, guiding and monitoring the implementation of medication therapy, and multidisciplinary cooperation with residents, relatives, and various networks. The work also includes the duties of a residential service instructor in the daily life of Runokulma. The work is primarily a two-shift system. Night or weekend work may be required only very occasionally as needed. As a nurse, you will be regionally responsible for the medication plans, medication therapy demonstrations, and separately agreed nursing consultations for Runokulma, Keuruu Activity Center Navika, Multia Omakoti and its work and activity center, Petäjävesi work and activity center, Uurainen Uuraspaja and Uurastuva, and Äänekoski Kalevankoti and Mintakka. Regional work is pre-agreed and constitutes only a part of your working hours. Your primary place of work is located at Runokulma in Keuruu. However, you will need access to a car for this position. Our 13-person team consists of both experienced veterans and new professionals in the field. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay a work experience supplement of 3% for 5 years and 8% for 10 years. We require suitability according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (chickenpox and measles). The employer determines the need for influenza and pertussis vaccinations. Additionally, up-to-date medication therapy expertise according to the medication plan or its completion at the start of employment is required. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6 of the Criminal Records Act (working with elderly or disabled people). The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the Social and Health Care Sector Collective Agreement (SOTE agreement). The position is subject to a probationary period.
