Special Education Assistant

Meritorin school operates with a community-led, capable staff and autism-spectrum personnel. Classes include 2-3 groups for 2025-2026. Teaching assistants are part of their own classroom team alongside a special class teacher, totaling 5-6 assistants. Lessons emphasize individual or activity-area based study. Duties include supervising lessons, daily outdoor activities, guiding daily life skills, and assisting with care tasks. Alternative communication methods are used. Shifts run between 7:30 and 16:30. The school emphasizes STEM education in special groups. It provides class-based and class-free special education and preparatory teaching.
