Due to our growth, we are now looking for a mechanical designer for plastic product design in Espoo! Your role with us In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of plastic products, focusing especially on injection molded products. The work also includes the design of metal parts, such as thin sheet structures and wire bending parts as part of larger product entities, and the design emphasizes in particular the consideration of manufacturability and production requirements throughout the design process. You will get to work on versatile product development projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for an expert for this role who already has experience in the mechanical design of plastic products, especially the design of injection molded products, as well as Creo 3D CAD skills. Experience with MIL standards and specifications and working in regulated industries, as well as surface modeling skills in the Creo environment, are considered an advantage. A suitable educational background for the position could be, for example, a mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineer/MSc or alternatively a university degree in the field of design. Operating in a multidisciplinary, international project environment also requires the ability to act both independently and as part of a team and requires good communication skills in both Finnish and English.
