About the role

We are seeking a psychologist for a family leave substitute position in the HUS Child Psychiatry line, at the outpatient clinics for school-aged children in the Pasila location. The substitute position begins on September 7, 2026, or as agreed, and ends on May 4, 2027. The Pasila unit is located with good transport connections near the Tripla shopping center. Administratively, the Pasila outpatient clinics belong to the central area of child psychiatry, whose operations are centralized at the same address on Ratapihantie. Patient work in the unit is led by a multidisciplinary management team, and the work structures are clear. The Pasila location examines and treats school-aged children under 13 who require specialized medical care. The work is development-oriented and the job description is versatile. The psychologist's role at the outpatient clinics includes psychological assessments and examinations, family and network work, as well as time-limited focused individual and group therapies and responsibility for monitoring treatment processes as a responsible worker. The psychologist works in the Pasila unit as part of a multidisciplinary team, and collegial support is easily available. At HUS child psychiatry, you will become part of Finland's largest expert community working in child psychiatry. We require vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
