Registered Nurse

The South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services county is seeking a registered nurse for a fixed-term position from September 18, 2026, to August 10, 2027, with the initial placement at psychogeriatric ward M3. Ward M3 of the wellbeing services county's primary health services is a psychogeriatric ward providing multidisciplinary investigation and treatment primarily for elderly patients with memory symptoms requiring hospital care. The ward's key operating principles are rehabilitative nursing, safety, and community. The work is multidisciplinary and takes the patient's support network into account. Our goal is to ensure functional aging. The ward has 24 patient beds and is divided into two functional 12-bed units. Nurses operate in both units. We offer a meaningful work environment and a multidisciplinary, encouraging work community. The nurse's work on the ward is a two-shift system. The applicant is required to have good cooperation and interaction skills, flexibility, motivation to develop nursing care, a rehabilitative approach, and work experience in nursing care consistent with the nature of the ward's operations. Additionally, the applicant is required to have medication therapy training (LOVe or equivalent) in accordance with the competence requirements for healthcare professionals. In our selection, we emphasize the applicant's suitability for the position in addition to the qualification requirements. The eligibility requirement is the qualification of a licensed registered nurse, Act 559/94. The terms of employment and remuneration are determined according to the current SOTE agreement, with a position-specific salary at the start of employment of 2947.90 €/month. A probationary period applies to the employment. A satisfactory health certificate and a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act (741/2023) must be presented before accepting the fixed-term position. The selected candidate may be required to provide the result of a drug test. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a report on respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55.
