Pre-primary teacher to Rööperi! A pre-primary group of two teachers is still looking for an enthusiastic teacher. In our daycare, there is an opportunity to act in a collegial group of teachers in a team of three pre-primary teachers. In addition, pre-primary teachers get to work closely with the 1st grade teacher when we make a learning plan together. In the unit, the operational culture is guided by virtue education and positive pedagogy, which is reflected in a daily life focusing on strengths. In this operational period, we focused especially on strengthening the desire to read, language-aware teaching and equal early childhood education. In addition, we operate as a university cooperation daycare. In the unit, everyone's expertise is appreciated and the division of labor is clear. We have a good structure for teachers' planning, evaluation and development time, and the pedagogical operational culture is seen as a commitment to jointly agreed operational methods. In Rööperi, children grow up inside red walls from babies to lower secondary school age and there will be 7 groups in the next operational period. As an early childhood education teacher, you are responsible for the construction of your child group's operational culture and learning environment, the planning, implementation, development and evaluation of pedagogical activities, and the support of children's individual learning in accordance with the Helsinki early childhood education and pre-primary education plan, the early childhood education unit's operational plan and the child's vasu. Eligibility requirements: We require that you have eligibility in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) or, according to the transitional provision (Section 75), a bachelor's degree in educational sciences (lto), a suitable university of applied sciences degree or a previous equivalent college-level degree, e.g., a kindergarten teacher's or social educator's degree (Act 272/2005 and Decree No. 608/2005). A recognition decision made by the National Agency for Education on the basis of foreign education for the position applied for also fulfills the eligibility requirement. You are also required to have eligibility to provide pre-primary education (Decree 986/1998 and Decree 865/2005). In addition, we require good oral and written skills in Finnish. The selected person must present a valid criminal record extract for working with children (504/2002). A tuberculosis clearance for the respiratory system for those working with children under school age is checked (Infectious Diseases Act Section 55). When you start a permanent employment relationship as an early childhood education teacher with the City of Helsinki in 2026, we offer you an incentive bonus of 2000 euros.
