About the role

How does customer service work in changing landscapes with a top team sound? We are now looking for future conductors for full-time employment in Rovaniemi (115 hours in 3 weeks). What does a conductor do? As a conductor, you work on long-distance trains in versatile tasks taking care of our customers and safety at different stages of the journey. The conductor's task also includes shunting management, which requires good health. The conductor's task is to ensure the smoothest and most pleasant travel experience for our customers, and the position is perfectly suited for a person who wants to do their best for the passengers' well-being. The duties include the sale of restaurant and additional services. Train work is irregular shift work every day of the year in varying shifts. You get to travel with our customers to Finland's wonderful destinations and enjoy the variation of the four seasons in a moving landscape office. Work that involves moving around Finland also includes rest breaks and many overnight stays in foreign towns, for which we provide clean rest facilities. Good basic fitness helps in the work, as the work involves movement and steps accumulate nicely during the day. The work is mainly independent, but you have great colleagues by your side and supporting you. What do we expect from you? You are cheerful and customer-oriented You have stress tolerance and readiness to travel You enjoy doing additional sales and sales work You are good at teamwork You speak fluent Finnish and can serve our customers in English as well Previous experience in customer service, sales, and shift work is an advantage. In addition, a liquor license is considered an advantage. We require that you have also completed a basic first aid course (EA 1, scope 16 h). If you do not have valid first aid training, you will have time to acquire it during the training period. We will reimburse the cost of the course for you. Training Conductor training starts approximately in October-November. The training lasts a total of about 12-14 weeks. During the training period, a trainee's salary is paid. The condition for the employment contract is the successful completion of the training and a successful health check.
