We are seeking welders for the manufacture of large electrical machines for our international client, ABB Oy Motors & Generators unit, for a 2-shift operation located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, with good transport connections. Our international client, ABB Oy Motors & Generators unit, is seeking welders through us for fixed-term employment in the manufacturing of large industrial machines. The employment is initially fixed-term, but we hope applicants are ready to commit to the role for a longer period. A suitable background for this work is vocational basic education in the metal industry and/or previous work experience in welding tasks. The duties focus on the manufacture of large electrical machines for industry and related welding and assembly tasks. MIG/MAG welding is primarily used. The workplace is located with good transport connections, and work is mainly performed in two shifts. Success in the role requires the ability to read technical drawings, a careful approach to work, and a good safety attitude. We require previous experience in welding work from the applicant. Valid welding certifications are considered an advantage. Successful performance of the tasks requires good physical condition and the ability to learn. We hope the applicant has a desire to commit to the work for a longer period. Most important, however, is the motivation to develop in demanding welding work.
