We are looking for a physiotherapist enthusiastic about supporting the functional capacity and rehabilitation of the elderly for a permanent position at the Kinapori Senior Center's service house and Tuulensuu group home. Most of the service house residents have a physical illness and the group home has residents with memory diseases on two floors. Your task is to be responsible for the functional capacity assessment, support of functional capacity and procurement of assistive devices for 56 residents. You do not do actual nursing work other than assessing the resident's functional capacity. Your duties also include guiding functional groups and gym instruction for residents. You actively participate in the therapy team, service house and group home team meetings. You guide, consult and train other staff, e.g. in matters related to ergonomics. At Kinapori, you will be part of a very active, energetic and functioning therapy team consisting of physiotherapists, social instructors, a volunteer activity coordinator, a cultural instructor and an occupational therapist. The team meets regularly to plan and implement various events and you will receive guidance and peer support from team members. Kinapori Senior Center is culture-oriented and our residents have access to a diverse range of cultural offerings. In addition, we organize our own program in the house, including annual theme days, Olympics and wellness days. We would love to hear new ideas from you on how we could support our residents even more diversely. Work with the elderly, Apotti skills and kinesthetics skills are considered an advantage. Eligibility requirements: Bachelor of Physiotherapy or a previous institute-level degree. The position requires legalization in Finland according to the Act on Health Care Professionals 559/1994. Language requirement is good oral and satisfactory written skills in Finnish. Before the selection decision, the applicant must present an assessment from occupational health care of their ability to perform the tasks involved in the work. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis investigation according to Section 55. The position requires the presentation of a criminal record extract for those working with elderly people (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care 741/2023, Section 28).
