Construction Foreman

Työnjohtaja for asbestos-containing demolition, hazard material removal and refurbishment sites in the Kouvola region (permanent position). We are seeking an experienced foreman for a permanent contract to lead diverse demolition and refurbishment projects across Finland. Our client company conducts demanding mass demolition projects, refurbishment works, and asbestos removal. The position is based in Kouvola, but sites are spread across different parts of Finland. The job requires willingness to travel to ensure works progress as agreed. Your responsibilities include daily site leadership, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence, leading work teams practically, and close collaboration with clients, subcontractors and other site stakeholders. Key duties: daily leadership of demolition and refurbishment sites; directing, coordinating and resourcing work groups; planning workflows and monitoring schedules; ensuring safety and workmanship; communicating with clients, clients’ representatives and subcontractors; documenting and reporting on sites; tracking progress and costs of projects. You should have prior experience as a foreman on construction, demolition or refurbishment sites, suitable construction training such as a construction foreman or civil engineer degree, good organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills, a firm but fair leadership style, ability to manage safety and quality, fluent Finnish, B-class driving license and willingness to travel and work across Finland. We particularly value experience leading asbestos and hazardous-material works and the ability to independently price projects (e.g., soilist concrete basement pipe insulation asbestos removal) and schedule works.
