About the role

We are seeking a skilled and development-oriented clinical nurse educator for a permanent position in our Porvoo emergency area. The position starts on October 1, 2026, or by agreement. Job Description As a clinical nurse educator, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, patient safety, and professional competence of our units. Your work is a versatile combination of clinical nursing and ensuring staff competence and coordinating training. Work locations include the emergency outpatient clinic and the emergency observation unit. Main duties include: * Planning, implementing, and developing the orientation process for new employees and ensuring orientation materials are up to date. * Developing and ensuring staff competence. * Acting as a trainer for simulation training and demonstration workshops. * Participating in expert groups and area of responsibility groups. * Participating in clinical nursing and providing daily support. * Working in close cooperation with the ward manager, assistant ward managers, training physician, and other multidisciplinary team members. * Strengthening evidence-based nursing, updating and unifying care and patient instructions as applicable to the clinical nurse educator's job description. We offer an independent and responsible specialist position where you can utilize both pedagogical and clinical expertise. You will be supported by a management team, a motivated work community, and HUS's extensive clinical nurse educator network. Orientation is included in the position. The work is three-shift work, with an emphasis on morning shifts. You have the opportunity to influence your shifts through collaborative shift planning. Experience in emergency and observation nursing is considered an advantage. The work requires guidance and teaching skills focused on individual and team work, so additional studies supporting this will be considered a merit. We expect an active and self-directed approach to developing staff competence. We hope and want to enable your own professional development as a member of the work community. Our clinical nurse educator serves as an important role model, emphasizing positive encounters and interaction skills with colleagues and clients. Position-specific salary €3,515.75/month plus possible experience and other bonuses. Eligibility Requirements Licensed healthcare professional. A suitable higher university degree and relevant experience, or a lower university degree supplemented by studies suitable for the clinical nurse educator position and relevant experience, or a vocational degree in the field supplemented by studies suitable for the clinical nurse educator position and relevant experience. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in client and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
