Child Day Care Worker

Loviisan city’s early childhood education services are seeking a rotating child day care worker for a fixed-term position from 17 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. We are looking for a motivated, committed and flexible early childhood education professional for Ruukki Daycare. Ruukki Daycare is a small two-group daycare located in the scenic Ruukki area in Ruotsinpyhtää, 21 km from Loviisa center. The daycare is in a charming, personalized building next to a school. Each group has its own spacious entrance hall. The surrounding area of the daycare is diverse. We have a short walk to the forest, a traffic park, and a sports field. As a rotating child day care worker you will work in both groups at the daycare and actively participate in activities together with the teams. A child-centered approach is important to us. We expect commitment to teamwork, good interaction skills, flexibility and a positive attitude when meeting different people. The qualification requirement is the qualification required for a child day care worker under §28 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). The selected person must present a criminal background certificate for working with children and provide a doctor’s certificate of health within 30 days of starting employment. A four-month trial period applies to the filling of the position. The employer reserves the right not to fill the position if there are not enough suitable applicants.
