The City of Loviisa's early childhood education services are seeking a floating childcare worker for a fixed-term employment contract from 17.9.2026 to 31.7.2027. We are looking for a motivated, committed, and flexible early childhood education professional for the Ruukki daycare center. Ruukki daycare center is a small, two-group daycare located in the naturally beautiful Ruukki area in Ruotsinpyhtää, 21 km from the center of Loviisa. Our daycare is in a beautiful, personal building next to the school. Both groups have their own spacious lobbies with their own entrances. The daycare's immediate environment is diverse. We have short distances to the forest, a traffic park, and a sports field. As a floating childcare worker, you will work in both child groups of the daycare center. Your duties include actively participating in the implementation of activities together with the group teams. A child-centered approach to work is important to us. We expect commitment to teamwork, good interaction skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude when meeting different people. The eligibility requirement is the qualification required for the position of an early childhood education childcare worker according to Section 28 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Before accepting the position, the selected person must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) based on the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and provide an acceptable medical certificate of their health status within 30 days of the start of employment. A four-month probationary period applies to the filling of the position. The employer reserves the right not to fill the position if there are not enough qualified or suitable applicants.
