Pirkankoivu's care ward provides long-term institutional care for 30 elderly people. In accordance with the Act on Care Services for the Elderly, institutional care at Pirkankoivu will also be developed into 24-hour assisted living. As a registered nurse, you will be part of a team where clients' functional capacity is maintained and supported as comprehensively as possible with a rehabilitation-promoting and resource-based approach. You will be responsible for high-quality gerontological nursing care, and your duties include assisting clients in various daily activities, medication management, and supporting functional capacity according to implementation plans. As a registered nurse, you will act as an expert in nursing care within the team and work closely with various stakeholders. Why apply to us? What kind of expert are we looking for? - You are a registered nurse licensed in Finland. - You have successfully completed the LOVe medication management online tests. Online tests can also be completed at the workplace. - A client-oriented mindset, good interaction and community skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude toward development. - You speak and write Finnish fluently. - You have previous experience working with elderly people and implementing high-quality palliative care. - You have RAI expertise, documentation skills, and previous experience as a primary nurse. - We value an empathetic and warm attitude and a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Start date is September 14, 2026, or by agreement. The working hours are full-time, averaging 38 h 15 min/week. The work includes morning, evening, and night shifts. The probationary period for the position is six months. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 4 of the Criminal Records Act before the employment begins. Additionally, the selected person must have valid vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016) and a respiratory tuberculosis clearance in accordance with Section 55, if the person has resided long-term (over 6 months) in a country where tuberculosis is common or has other special exposure to tuberculosis.
