Building caretaker

We are seeking a skilled building caretaker for our client sites in Jyväskylä. In this role you will be responsible for building maintenance, various mechanical upkeep, repairs and maintenance tasks, and tuning and monitoring of building automation at customer sites in the Jyväskylä region. The job is mainly indoor, but duties may also include outdoor area maintenance such as snow clearing, anti-slip work, as well as trash collection and flagging. Shifts are primarily weekdays 7:00–15:00, but the position requires flexibility and readiness to work also at other times as needed. There is also a weekly on‑call shift about every 4–5 weeks. The on‑call shift requires 24/7 readiness to respond, and is paid as a separate allowance. This is a full‑time (37.5 h / week), permanent employment. Start date as soon as possible per agreement. The job pays at least the pay grade 3 of the Kiinteistöpalvelualan collective agreement (13.22 €/h) plus possible shift differentials based on actual hours worked and possible pay rise based on completed qualification. We look for someone with previous building caretaking experience of at least 2 years. A basic or vocational qualification in building maintenance is strongly preferred. A minimum B‑class driving license enabling manual transmission driving is required; owning your own car is a plus. Fluent Finnish, both spoken and written. Valid safety and hot-work certificates are preferred but training can be provided. Independent, careful and flexible work style with problem‑solving skills. Excellent service attitude to coordinate work with the client and the team. Up-to-date IT skills; proficient in using digital maintenance logs and various mobile applications.
