The City of Kotka is seeking a substitute upper secondary school teacher for English and German for a fixed term from 5.10.2026 to 5.6.2027. The position is located at Kotka Lyceum, which can be found on the Pedanet pages at https://peda.net/kotka/lukiokoulutus/kotkan-lyseon-lukio. The subjects to be taught are A-English and B-German. We are looking for an inspiring and collaborative teacher who, in addition to good subject mastery, has strong teamwork and teaching skills, IT proficiency, and the ability and desire to develop their work. Eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with Decree No. 986/98 on the qualification requirements for educational staff. Certificates proving eligibility will be checked during a potential interview. A three (3) month probationary period applies to the substitute position. Remuneration is determined according to the municipal education sector collective agreement (OVTES). The position-specific salary for a qualified teacher in Kotka's educational services is €3,671.39/month, excluding possible overtime and annual bonuses.
