Registered Nurse

The internal medicine ward at Tyks Salo Hospital is a 30-bed unit that moved to new premises (F4) in the summer of 2025. The ward also includes a six-bed monitoring unit. We provide broad-spectrum care for internal medicine patients, such as cardiac, pulmonary, and infectious disease patients. Your Role The work is versatile, as the clinical pictures and physical functional capacities of internal medicine patients are diverse and varied. Most patients arrive at the ward directly from the emergency department around the clock, making the work varied and fast-paced. Our patients often require acute care and monitoring in the early stages of treatment. Treatment periods are often short, and patient turnover is frequent. You will work in close cooperation with other professionals. Our unit operates in teams, so you will not work alone - your partner will be a practical nurse or another registered nurse. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen your expertise in various aspects of internal medicine patient care. The work is three-shift work. Previous experience in hospital or ward work and in the care of internal medicine patients is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Swedish is also seen as an advantage. The eligibility requirement is a legal authorization as a registered nurse in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994).
