Practical Nurse

Esperi Koti Hyryn Hoiva is a small and peaceful home for people with intellectual disabilities located in the center of Hyrynsalmi, surrounded by nature. The home has 9 resident places and a warm, professional team dedicated to creating a happy daily life for its residents. As a Practical Nurse, your role is diverse. Your primary task is to ensure that residents' needs are met and that they can participate in activities meaningful to them. Duties include assisting with meals, accompanying residents on shopping trips, monitoring overall well-being, and performing various nursing procedures and medication administration depending on the resident. The position is fixed-term until October 31, 2026, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The typical workload is 80%, but flexibility to work 100% is desired. The role involves 3-shift work, although 2-shift work may be possible. Requirements include a practical nurse's degree, valid medication permits, a hygiene passport, and vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act. Fluency in Finnish and a positive, proactive work attitude are essential. Previous experience in similar roles is considered an advantage. A criminal record extract is required.
