The South Savo Wellbeing Services County Eloisa is seeking specialists in anaesthesiology and intensive care (3) for Mikkeli Central Hospital for a permanent official position starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. The specialist's work with us is versatile central hospital work supported by good colleagues. The primary place of work is the operating department of Mikkeli Hospital, but the job description also includes work in the intensive care unit. Our hospital has an anaesthesia active emergency service. Savonlinna Hospital has day surgical operations, in which it is possible to participate. Our operating department operates in completely new or renovated premises. We have ten operating rooms at our disposal, where we treat approximately 5,500 perioperative patients annually. Most surgeries are planned. We also operate a 24-hour emergency service. Over 40% of patients are day surgical. In the operating department, we are at the forefront of development; we perform, among other things, robot-assisted joint replacement surgeries, obesity surgeries, and HERKO operations. As an employer, Eloisa is education-friendly and enables participation in external training. We encourage doctors to continuously develop their professional skills, and doctors have the opportunity to participate in both national and international training. Our salaries are among the highest in the country. Eligibility requirements for the position are the right to practice the profession of a general practitioner independently as a licensed professional (Act on Health Care Professionals 559/94 Section 4) and specialist training in anaesthesiology and intensive care. In addition, sufficient oral and written proficiency in Finnish is required for the performance of the duties. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health statement regarding respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55. Before the selection is confirmed, the selected person must present a statement regarding their health status. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. The application must arrive by the end of the application period. Applications must be submitted via the Kuntarekry system.
