Qualifications Qualifications for an early childhood education teacher are determined in accordance with Sections 26 and 75 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) and its transitional provisions. A Bachelor of Education degree must include studies that provide professional readiness for early childhood education tasks, or a university of applied sciences degree in social services and health care with at least 60 ECTS credits specializing in early childhood education and social pedagogy. We also consider graduating early childhood education teachers, in which case the employment relationship can begin as permanent until the qualification requirements are met. Pay Pay and working hours are determined according to OVTES. Level salary 3,098.55-3,202.90 €/month (according to level criteria). Qualification supplement according to OVTES section G is paid for a degree meeting the early childhood education teacher requirements: 15.73 €/month, and for a Master of Education degree: 39.71 €/month. Working hours 38.25 h/week. Before accepting the position, the selected person must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) based on the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002), an acceptable health certificate within two months of starting work, and a tuberculosis screening in accordance with Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act.
