The target group of the NUPPE project includes professionals in the Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county working in open and foster care for child welfare, mental health and substance abuse services, and other ecosystems, as well as contract-based family caregivers for youth in Pirkanmaa, youth in child welfare family care, and their families and support networks. A special focus of the project is on youth in family care who are symptomatic in relation to adolescence, including mental health and substance abuse disorders. The goal of the project is to develop an operating model for more demanding family care, improve support for families and family caregivers, and increase expertise in family care and multidisciplinary cooperation. The objective is for the operating model to become part of the Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county's operations after the project ends. What does the project coordinator's role involve? - You will develop a new family care operating model together with the project team. - You will finalize the intensive mentoring model together with an NGO employee. - You will be responsible for facilitating and documenting the project's joint development workshops. - You will work with family caregivers, placed youth, and their loved ones. - You will perform pair work and use evidence-based methods in your work when necessary. - You will engage youth in family care and their families to produce experiential knowledge for the development of family care and be responsible for activities to reduce youth loneliness. - You will develop telephone and remote consultation channels and carry out their evaluation. - You will report and document the progress of the development work. - Your tasks and areas of responsibility will be further specified in collaboration as the project progresses. Eligibility requires a social worker (sosionomi) qualification recognized in Finland. We require knowledge of social welfare legislation and the service system, as well as familiarity with mental health and substance abuse work. Due to the mobility of the work, you must have a valid driver's license, and the ability to use a car is considered an advantage. Good IT skills, information retrieval skills, and previous work experience in child welfare family care or project work are also considered advantages. We expect an enthusiastic, bold, flexible, innovative, and creative approach to work. Your role emphasizes good interaction skills, multidisciplinary networking and cooperation skills, a positive attitude toward development, and an independent way of working. You can start in a fixed-term employment relationship from September 15, 2026, or by agreement. The employment continues until May 15, 2027. The working hours are full-time, day work. The probationary period is four months, however, not exceeding half of the length of the employment relationship.
