We are seeking a speech therapist for a permanent position at Hyvinkää Hospital to work in the fields of pediatric neurology and child psychiatry. The speech therapist acts as an expert in their field within a multidisciplinary specialized healthcare team. Their primary duties include assessing the interaction, speech, language, communication, swallowing, and eating of patients receiving treatment and follow-up for pediatric diseases, as well as participating in the creation of rehabilitation plans. In addition to patient work, the speech therapist collaborates with wellbeing services counties and participates in development and teaching tasks common to all speech therapists. Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary specialized healthcare team and relevant additional training are considered an advantage. At the start of the employment, the primary place of work is Hyvinkää Hospital, but the position requires readiness to work at other HUS sites as well. Eligibility requirements Licensed speech therapist. We require the selected candidate to be registered in Valvira's Suosikki or Terhikki professional registers. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in client and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).
