Early Childhood Education Teacher

Satavuon daycare center is seeking an early childhood education teacher for a fixed-term employment period from 24.8.2026 to 26.7.2027. This is a fixed-term substitute position. The early childhood education teacher is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the pedagogy for their own group of children in cooperation with the educator team. Satavuon daycare center is located in Vuonte village, Laukaa, and provides early childhood education as well as complementary early childhood education for pre-primary education. The daycare center operates in the same building as Satavuon school, and in addition to the priority areas of early childhood education in Laukaa, the daycare's focuses are ecology and a sustainable lifestyle. The daycare center is located near excellent hiking and outdoor terrains. The priority areas of early childhood education in Laukaa are nature and physical education, as well as interaction and encounter. We value initiative, flexibility, a solution-oriented and development-positive approach to work, as well as good interaction and teamwork skills. The daycare groups work in close cooperation, and the applicant is required to be prepared to work flexibly with children aged 0-6 years. Working hours for the position are 38.25h/week. The eligibility requirement for early childhood education teacher positions is at least a Bachelor of Education degree, which includes studies providing professional qualifications for early childhood education tasks, as specified by government decree, or which has been supplemented by said studies (Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018)). The person selected for employment must present a criminal record extract as intended in the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). Remuneration and other terms of employment are determined according to OVTES.
