Workshop supervisor in shipbuilding; leads production staff and coordinates module manufacturing and repairs.

Original job description

Riverco Oy is a medium-sized company in machine-shop work, ship repair and shipbuilding, internationally successful and well known in its field. Its main customers include some of the world’s leading cruise operators and shipyards. We are part of a financially strong, diversified business group that has been operating for 60 years. In addition to machine-shop work and shipbuilding, the group operates in electrical and plumbing contracting, real estate and trade. The company’s locations are in Turku, Raisio, Parainen and Nousiainen. Our typical projects include complete deliveries for ships’ technical and interior areas, as well as ships’ technical systems. We carry out demanding modification, maintenance and repair work for several international shipping companies. We are now looking for a Module Workshop Supervisor for our skilled team. As Module Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for manufacturing metal and interior prefabricated components and various modules, as well as related repair projects. You will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the workshop, organising work and production progress. You will lead and guide workshop personnel and ensure that work is carried out according to plans, schedules and quality targets. You will work closely with project managers and designers. Your duties include resource planning and scheduling, coordinating materials and manufacturing, quality control and resolving production problems. You will also participate in work preparation and purchasing. We value suitable technical education or experience in supervisory roles in a workshop, production or industrial environment. Shipbuilding experience is an advantage. Success in the role requires a practical and systematic approach, good collaboration skills, and the ability to take responsibility and make decisions in changing situations. We offer competitive pay and an independent, varied role. You will have the opportunity to work as part of an international shipbuilding and ship-repair business and develop your expertise in a diverse production and project environment. Please send a free-form written application with your salary request by email as soon as possible, but no later than 10 November 2026. We will begin interviews as soon as we receive a suitable application. For further information about the role, contact Tuomas Kankare by phone.
