We are looking for a specialist physician in occupational health for the personal insurance medical expert team, who wants to bring their medical expertise to support insurance claims. Your tasks: In personal insurance, we handle statutory and voluntary personal insurance claims. You will participate in claims processing as a medical expert by evaluating, among other things, causal links, work capacity, and disability categories. Your expertise in occupational health will be utilized in the role especially in the medical assessment of occupational disease cases. You will also regularly participate in If's internal medical expert meetings. You will work in close cooperation with claims specialists, other medical experts, and managers. The task requires commitment to regular side-employment and the ability to work independently. Your workplace is located in Espoo or Turku, but work can also be done remotely. Your team: You will become part of If's group of claims professionals, where everyone's contribution is significant for both our customers' daily smoothness and If's success. With us, you will work as part of an experienced medical expert team consisting of doctors from several different specialties. You will also be supported by other experts in the insurance and claims services field. In our team, we support each other to succeed, develop, and share expertise. Who are you? You are a specialist physician in occupational health with a few years of experience in occupational health physician roles. You are interested in insurance medicine and want to deepen your expertise in this area, or you already have experience in insurance medical work. You are a responsible and analytical professional who grasps broad entities and enjoys independent expert work. You make reasoned decisions even in demanding situations and can bring a medical perspective into multidisciplinary cooperation. You can commit to the medical expert role flexibly alongside your main job according to the agreed weekly hours.
