Job Description
Iin Municipality is seeking a social counsellor for a permanent position in employment services. The transfer of employment services to municipalities has opened new opportunities to develop local services, and in this role, you will work directly on initiatives that impact employment and regional vitality. The work of the social counsellor currently emphasizes services for employer clients and facilitating connections between employers and job seekers, but tasks may also vary in content. You will actively engage with the business sector, assess labor needs, and build trusting, long-term partnerships with regional employers. You will also ensure that suitable job seekers and open positions are matched. The goal is to find practical solutions that lead to concrete employment outcomes and successful recruitment. The work is diverse and mobile: it combines fieldwork, network collaboration, and a developmental approach. You will plan and implement various recruitment events and encounters together with the team and employers, utilizing different employment support measures such as work trials and municipal subsidies. You will also highlight current labor and skill needs of companies and communicate this information to your team and training partners. We require a relevant higher education degree and experience in employment services, recruitment, or corporate cooperation. An understanding of the labor market and the business environment is valued. Success in this role requires good interaction and networking skills, proactive and goal-oriented work attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. We also value a developmental mindset, courage to engage with employers and new situations, and fluent oral and written communication skills. We offer meaningful work in a municipality where promoting employment is a key part of the strategy. You will have a tangible impact on how job seekers and employers find each other and on the solutions built for local labor needs. You will be supported by a skilled and committed team and a flexible working environment. Additionally, we offer good employee benefits such as ePass and comprehensive occupational health services. The salary for the position is €3,267.33 per month, plus possible experience-based allowances according to KVTES. The working hours are 38.25 hours per week, with the possibility of partial remote work. The position begins on August 3, 2026, or as agreed, and a six-month probationary period applies. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable health certificate before starting the position. Applications should be submitted via KuntaRekry no later than June 3, 2026, at 16:00. For more information about the position, contact Employment Manager Lea Aalto at 050 3950 330.
