
Project Manager
Overview An established data centre development company is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager for a flagship hyperscale data centre project based in Hamar, Norway. This is a long-term freelance contract ideal for a technically capable professional with a proven track record of delivering complex MEP packages within demanding project environments. The position requires full-time site attendance and is available for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities MEP package leadership - Manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning. Subcontractor management – Coordinate and supervise specialist contractors, ensuring work is delivered in line with programme milestones, quality expectations, and project objectives. Standards and compliance – Ensure all MEP systems are delivered in accordance with relevant regulations, safety requirements, and operational performance criteria. Risk management – Proactively identify project risks and challenges, implementing effective mitigation measures to minimise disruption and maintain delivery targets. Stakeholder reporting – Provide consistent progress updates to key stakeholders, covering programme performance, budget status, and technical developments. Requirements Relevant MEP engineering experience with a successful background delivering large-scale construction or hyperscale infrastructure projects. Previous data centre experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within fast-paced and complex project environments. Strong knowledge of European construction practices, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Available for immediate site-based work in Hamar, Norway.
