Our unit is the primary healthcare general medicine ward operating at the Lapland Central Hospital, which began operations in January 2026. Using primary healthcare means, we provide diverse care for acute, infectious, diagnostic, internal medicine, and surgical patients, as well as patients in palliative care. Work is based on multidisciplinary cooperation, combining the expertise of different professional groups to ensure holistic and high-quality patient care. Your role as a registered nurse is to ensure high-quality nursing care, health promotion and maintenance, the prevention and cure of diseases with a rehabilitative approach, and the alleviation of suffering. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining and developing the quality of care and cooperating with other parties involved in the patient's treatment. WHAT DO WE OFFER? WHAT DOES THE POSITION REQUIRE FROM YOU? - Legal right to practice as a registered nurse (licensed professional). - Good oral and written Finnish language skills. - A criminal record extract is required for those working with elderly people in employment contracts exceeding 3 months. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the SOTE agreement. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
