We are seeking a substitute Controller for a fixed-term, full-time position in the City of Nokia's financial services for the period 1.10.2026-31.7.2027, or starting as agreed. The Controller's duties consist of various tasks related to internal accounting and financial reporting. These include, for example, coordinating monthly and quarterly reviews and compiling financial presentation materials. A key task is to support the city's service areas with financial management queries. The Controller participates in the preparation of the budget and financial statements. The duties include other tasks assigned by the employer. Requirements: 1) Higher university degree 2) Previous experience working in municipal finance. Experience may be in internal municipal accounting, financial monitoring, or auditing. 3) Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft 365 environment, especially Excel 4) Excellent written Finnish language skills 5) Ability to evaluate matters and combine them into customer entities 6) Uncompromising customer service attitude and ability to cooperate 7) Accuracy, diligence, and initiative We value: 1. The position is subject to a probationary period, which may be up to half the duration of the employment. Work can be performed as hybrid work in accordance with the city's remote work rules.
