Early Years Special Education Teacher

Tyrnävä municipality is seeking a permanent Early Childhood Special Education Teacher starting 1 September 2026 or by agreement. We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and cooperative Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to support children's growth, learning and well-being. As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher you provide pedagogical support to early childhood staff and participate in assessing, planning, implementing and monitoring the needs for support for children in collaboration with guardians and various partners. The role involves a consultative and guiding approach and work across different early childhood sub-units. The position emphasises strong communication and collaboration skills and taking child's individual needs into account as part of high-quality inclusive early education. The level salary for the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at recruitment moment is 3422.04 €/month (level C1), with a merit increment of 268.05 € for qualifications and 106.17 € for possible Master's degree. Additionally, there are merit and experience allowances according to the collective agreement. Qualifications follow the Early Childhood Act (540/2018). The selected candidate must present a medical certificate of health and a police background check for working with children before taking the position. A six-month probationary period applies.
