Job Description

We are hiring eight (8) practical nurses for the position. The operations of Intiö Residential Services are expanding, and we will open the Naava group home in June. Our goal is to build a well-being, warm-hearted work community where each employee can influence and develop their work. Naava's clients are young people with disabilities. Residents lead active, self-determined lives and participate actively in planning their daily routines according to their resources. As a practical nurse with us, you will work in a meaningful role and influence the operational culture of the new unit from the start. Work at Intiö Residential Services is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to shine with your skills by creating a cozy and personalized daily life for clients. Daily tasks include comprehensive guidance and support for clients in everyday life. In addition to guiding and caring work, an important part of the day is social interaction—chatting, outdoor activities, recreational activities, and small but meaningful encounters. Daily life is created together with clients and colleagues. The work involves three shifts. The position requires a hygiene passport or completion of the training. Previous experience in disability work is considered an advantage, but the most important thing is an interest in the field and a genuine desire to do client-oriented work. We offer good orientation, collegial support, and the opportunity to be involved in creating a completely new unit—an opportunity that does not come often. Join us in building a safe, functional, and humane daily life! The qualification requirement is a professional degree in social and health care or a previous school-level qualification in the field, and a protected professional title according to the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015, Section 3). We will verify original diplomas and employment certificates from shortlisted candidates. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). Additionally, valid medication administration skills or completion within three (3) months of starting employment are required. Interviews may be conducted during the application period. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Act on Social and Health Care Supervision (741/2023) and the Criminal Records Act, Section 6, subsection 2 (the Act on the Criminal Background Check of Persons Working with Children, 504/2002). We observe a probation period of up to 6 months. Regarding vaccination, we follow the work and infectious disease law requirements. As an employer, we value diversity in work communities and hope to recruit employees from various backgrounds. We are committed to promoting equality and non-discrimination.
