We are seeking an early childhood teacher for the Kyyhkyspuiston Daycare, in the Metsäpupuh families group for 1–3-year-olds. The daycare is a small early education unit in Pohjois-Leppävaara, with four groups across two buildings. Two groups serve 1–3-year-olds and two groups serve 3–5-year-olds. Teams work closely together; the grounds include a nature-rich, spacious outdoor yard. Indoor spaces support learning, play, and varied small-group activities. The learning environment can be adapted to different and evolving needs. The city center services are nearby, and a forest excursion is accessible directly from the daycare yard. As an early childhood teacher, you will be responsible for the pedagogical documents of your child group as well as planning, implementing, developing and evaluating activities. You will be supported by a broad special educator, language and culture teacher, and school leadership. In Espoo, teachers receive mentoring and diverse training opportunities. A pedagogical team meets regularly within the unit, in which you participate. Qualifications: The equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Education including early childhood education teacher training, or a polytechnic degree in social and health care with early childhood education training, or an equivalent vocational degree such as kindergarten teacher or social educator. Fresh graduates are considered. Excellent Finnish language skills (spoken and written) are required. A police background check is required. The tuberculosis risk screening requirement for those working with pre-school children applies.
