You have a unique opportunity to start working in a newly completed ward building on the Jorvi campus. Our ward treats emergency abdominal surgery patients transferred from emergency outpatient clinics and monitoring units. Our largest patient groups include patients arriving for appendectomies, gallbladder-related ailments, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, and abdominal pain patients requiring investigation and diagnosis. Practical Nurse Job Description The practical nurse works in close cooperation with their work partner, colleagues, and doctors in a multidisciplinary team. In the role of a practical nurse, you will develop your nursing skills, particularly in the care of patients within specialized medical care. We also work closely with the two other wards of the Jorvi Abdominal Center. Our teaching nurses are actively involved in supporting your orientation. Nurses working in three-shift rotations have the opportunity to plan their own shifts within the framework of the work community's rules. Our wards utilize community-based functional shift planning. Job Qualifications A degree as a practical nurse or basic care nurse. We require registration in the professional register of the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki). We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in client and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
