Tredu operates in eight municipalities in Pirkanmaa, and services are offered nationwide. Approximately 17,000 young people or adults study at Tredu annually. There are about a thousand staff members. Tredu serves companies in developing the competence of their personnel. Tredu offers companies, among other things, supplementary training, skilled employees, and students via apprenticeship and training contracts. We are seeking a professional hourly teacher in the electrical and automation field for a permanent official position. The start date is 15.10.2026 or as agreed. The work is carried out at the Tampere region vocational college sites in Kangasala, Nokia, or Tampere. The primary location at the start of the service is Tredu's Hepolamminkatu campus in Tampere. Your duties include teaching vocational subjects both as face-to-face and online instruction, planning studies together with the student and stakeholders, guiding workplace learning, and planning, guiding, and assessing demonstrations of competence. The work also includes maintaining contact with companies in the field in Pirkanmaa. You have extensive work experience and expertise in the electrical installation field, either in electrical installations for properties, industrial electrical installations, or the installation of building automation and security systems, as well as good interaction and IT skills. Eligibility requirements are determined by the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff 986/1998 § 13 and the Electrical Safety Act 1135/2016 § 73 regarding electrical professionals. Performing the duties requires a valid class B driver's license and the possibility of using one's own car for work tasks. Entrepreneurial experience in electrical contracting and experience in the education of those subject to compulsory education and adults are considered assets. The person selected for the position must, before accepting the post, provide an acceptable medical certificate based on the Act on Municipal and Wellbeing Services Area Officials (304/2003 § 7) and present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act. The salary consists of a position-specific salary, a seniority addition, and possible other salary additions. We use a 6-month probationary period for official positions.
