Educational Services is seeking for a permanent employment contract: SCHOOL ASSISTANT for Urheilupuisto School starting 24.08.2026 (or by agreement) The working hours for the school assistant are 30 hours per week + hours performed internally. We are looking for a collaborative, growth-oriented school assistant with a positive work attitude to work in a local school's special education class. The well-being of students and staff, as well as community spirit, are important to us. Your work partner will be the special education teacher, and you will be a strong part of the support team consisting of grade-level special education teachers, special education class teachers, and school assistants. The duty of the school assistant is to assist students requiring special support in managing daily school situations. The eligibility requirement is a vocational qualification in school assistance and morning and afternoon activity guidance (formerly vocational qualification of school assistant) or an equivalent vocational qualification (e.g., childcare worker, practical nurse, or youth instructor). The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). The employment relationship includes a six (6) month probationary period. Salary and terms of service are determined according to the municipal general civil servants' and employees' collective agreement (KVTES). Are you interested?
