This role leads the electrical substation design team, overseeing design projects, coordinating resources, supporting with technical guidance, and engaging in tendering, sales, and new assignments. You will act as the key link between customers, partners, and our organization, driving efficiency, quality, and people experience. Responsibilities include leading and developing the team, resource planning, providing expert technical assistance, participating in bid work and business development, maintaining client relationships, refining processes, ensuring project delivery on schedule, budget, and quality, and collaborating with stakeholders. Requirements include suitable technical education, experience in electrical design projects (industrial, energy, grid, substations, or other infrastructure), experience in project management or supervisory roles, understanding of bid preparation and customer work, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and fluency in Finnish and English. Desirable: experience with substation design or multi-voltage infrastructure, international projects, client development or bid/sales experience. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the electrical substations design team and ensure goals are met
- Oversee resource planning, workload management and competency development
- Provide technical expert assistance and guidance to the team
- Work with bids and sales and participate in identifying new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain client relationships in collaboration with the organization
- Improve processes and practices with the team to enhance efficiency, quality and employee experience
- Ensure project delivery success in terms of schedule, quality and cost, and customer satisfaction
- Act as an active partner with stakeholders including clients, designers and contractors
Requirements
- Suitable technical education
- Experience in electrical substation design projects (industrial, energy, power grids, substations or other infrastructure)
- Experience in project management or supervisory roles
- Understanding of bid calculations, client engagement and business development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluency in Finnish and English
