Backend/API Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Backend/API Developer with a strong foundation in Java 11 to join our dynamic team in Guadalajara. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in backend development, focusing on building robust and scalable APIs. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high performance backend services and APIs using Java 11. Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user facing elements with server side logic. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members. Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications and services. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our backend systems. Mandatory Skills: Strong proficiency in Java 11, including knowledge of its features and libraries. Experience with RESTful API design and development. Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL. Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Proficient in version control systems, preferably Git. Preferred Skills: Experience with microservices architecture. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker. Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, Mockito). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 2 5 years of professional experience in backend development. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
