PARISH FACILITIES COORDINATOR FOR ALAVA PARISH As a long-serving employee retires, we are looking for a new member to join our team! The parish facilities coordinator works as an important part of the Alava community. Together with the property team, they are responsible for the practical arrangements for events and meet parishioners as part of their work. In addition to the regular work of a parish facilities coordinator, this position includes first-line supervisory duties for the property team. In the role, you will: * Be responsible for preparing and practically carrying out services, church ceremonies and other parish events. * Direct the daily work of the property-team members (4 people) and handle first-line supervisory duties. * Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of the parish’s indoor and outdoor premises. * Collaborate with the parish’s management team, employees and volunteers. We value: * Enthusiasm and readiness for the work of a parish facilities coordinator. * The ability to organise and develop operations. * Experience in supervisory duties or willingness to learn them. * Familiarity with parish life and the property sector. * A category B driving licence and the ability to use your own car for work duties. Eligibility for the position requires: * A vocational qualification in parish and cemetery services (parish services specialisation, sexton); or * Another relevant vocational qualification and sufficient experience in parish work; or * Another relevant vocational qualification, sufficient work experience in property duties and readiness to complete the vocational qualification in parish and cemetery services while working, according to a schedule agreed with the employer. * The selected person must be a confirmed member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. The position has a six-month probationary period. We offer: * Permanent employment and general working hours of 38.25 hours per week in three-week periods. * Pay according to KirVESTES demand group 403 (€2,639.94/month), plus a supervisor supplement (€154.14/month), totalling €2,794.08/month. * Possible experience-based increments after 3, 5, 10 and 15 years, as well as a personal performance supplement. * An ePassiFlex benefit and a lunch benefit. * Comprehensive occupational health services. * An employer with an environmental diploma and a values-based operating culture. * A varied role, a skilled work community and the opportunity to receive training as required by the role.
