About the role

Vantaa City, Education and Learning, Early Childhood Education at Y.E.S. Daycare (bilingual Finnish and English) invites applications for a permanent position in the role of a social pedagogue in early childhood education. The person will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities, and for contributing to family cooperation. The role involves promoting community and inclusion in collaboration with guardians and other child-family actors, developing services and new practices to support child and family well-being, and guiding children, families and guardians. The daycare is located on Hagelstamintie in Pasila, Vantaa, with 8 groups including 2 preschool groups. The daycare’s classrooms serve children aged 3–5 years. We are looking for social pedagogues with a positive, professional approach who value teamwork, listening to children with sensitivity, and supporting each child as an individual, while fostering growth, development and learning as a positive path for each child. The unit uses the ProVaka framework for social skills support, and we expect staff to act according to its principles. Interested? Please submit your application; we will contact you.
