We are seeking a speech therapist for Hyvinkää Hospital for a permanent employment relationship to work in the fields of pediatric neurology and child psychiatry. The speech therapist acts as an expert in their own field in a multidisciplinary specialized healthcare team. Their primary tasks include assessing the interaction, speech, language, communication, swallowing and eating of patients treated and monitored for children's and adolescents' diseases, and participating in the preparation of the rehabilitation plan. In addition to patient work, the speech therapist cooperates with the wellbeing services counties and participates in development and teaching tasks common to all speech therapists. Previous experience in operating in a multidisciplinary specialized healthcare team and additional training suitable for the task are considered an advantage. The placement of the speech therapist is primarily Hyvinkää Hospital at the beginning of the employment relationship, but the task requires readiness to work also in other HUS sites. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient spaces, and a health statement on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
