Responsibilities
  • Design, build and own data models and pipelines from requirements to production
  • Make technical design decisions and set team standards for modeling, testing, code quality and documentation
  • Translate business needs into reliable data solutions; build deep knowledge of business domains
  • Improve data operations; review code; collaborate with other engineers
  • Explore AI-assisted development and turn it into shared practices
Requirements
  • Strong experience with modern data engineering or data warehouse modeling and development
  • Proficiency in Python/SQL; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus
  • Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, Git
  • Knowledge of GCP Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)
  • Familiarity with GCP Dataflow (Beam) and Datastream
  • Interest in AI-assisted development; experience with AI tools a plus
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or LLM-based tooling
  • Write maintainable and well-tested code
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English
  • Mentorship experience is a plus
