Personal assistant

We are seeking an assistant through the Keski-Suomi wellbeing services county’s personal assistance centre for a six-month fixed-term substitute position supporting an 80-year-old woman in Konnevesi. The employer has a stiffness syndrome and uses a rollator to support mobility. The work does not include lifting or transfers. Work is offered variably, 0–50 hours per month, alongside another assistant, for leisure time and household tasks. Shifts are planned within the employment relationship. Duties include assisting with errands and leisure activities. Working hours vary by agreement with the employer. The employee must have a passenger-car driving licence. We are looking for a sociable and positive person who wants to take part in an older person’s everyday life through conversation, baking, gardening, shopping or, for example, visiting a cemetery. Employment relationships are always private. The person selected for the employment relationship will be employed by the person receiving assistance. Those selected for an interview or employment will be informed personally. Work begins when a suitable assistant is found. At the start of employment, the employer may ask an employee selected to work with older or disabled people to present a criminal record extract (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care, 741/2023, section 28).
