About the role

The East Uusimaa wellbeing services county is looking for skilled and responsible REGISTERED NURSES/PUBLIC HEALTH NURSES for various fixed-term vaccination positions at the Porvoo and Askola social and health centres. You can work flexibly according to your own wishes from October 2026 to February 2027. Vaccination work includes day, evening, or weekend shifts depending on the region. The duties of vaccinators include, among other things, telephone appointment booking for vaccination times, informing clients, preparing and administering vaccines, post-vaccination monitoring, and recording vaccinations in the patient information system. The job is suitable for a recent graduate, a long-term veteran, or a retired nursing professional. In these duties, you will need good patient guidance and interaction skills, an independent and developing approach to work, and team spirit. Eligibility requirements are a Bachelor of Nursing or Public Health Nursing degree from a university of applied sciences or a previous institute-level degree, a valid medication and vaccination permit, and registration in the register of social and health care professionals (JulkiTerhikki). The position requires good oral and written skills in Finnish. Proficiency in Swedish and previous experience in vaccination are considered an advantage. In the absence of eligible applicants, we will also consider nursing students who have at least 140 ECTS credits, including at least 2 ECTS credits of medication training, and successfully completed medication calculations. The terms of employment are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The position-specific salary is 3,034.69 euros per month and a probationary period applies. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis screening according to Section 55.
