Forest Management Teacher

We are seeking a forest management teacher for a permanent position at the forestry and earthworks unit in Kullaa, Ulvila, starting September 1, 2026. The primary duties include tasks related to forest management teaching, with the area of responsibility being the implementation of theoretical and practical forest management instruction. Requirements for the applicant: - Higher education degree in forestry - Work experience in the forestry sector - Pedagogical qualification - Expertise in the maintenance and repair of small forest management machinery - At least a category B driver's license Considered an advantage: - Expertise in forest management - Versatile work experience with forestry machinery - Knowledge of PEFC and FSC certifications and modern forest management requirements The eligibility requirements for the teacher's position are determined by Decree 986/1998 on the eligibility of teaching staff. In the absence of eligibility, the position may be filled on a fixed-term basis for a maximum of one year. If only the pedagogical studies are missing and the person has already been accepted to study said subjects, they may be hired for a fixed term of 1-3 years. The pre-employment medical examination and drug test are performed during the probationary period after the work has started; the employee applies for the criminal record extract on their own initiative. The position belongs to the Forestry and Earthworks unit. The supervisor is the unit's training manager. The primary place of work is Sahalahdentie 57, Kullaa (Ulvila). Remuneration and terms of employment follow the collective agreement for teaching staff in the corporate sector of KT (OTES). The position has a probationary period of 6 months.
