We are seeking a speech and language therapist for the development pediatrics and disability medicine clinic and pediatric speech therapy. The role is flexible and the workload is shared between two units as needed. You will be part of a warm, competent team of therapists providing speech and language therapy services in primary and specialized care in Hamina, Kotka and Kouvola. In the development pediatrics clinic, based in Kouvola and Kuusankoski, you will deepen your expertise in development pediatrics. You will work with clients of different ages in a multidisciplinary team. Your tasks include assessing communication, interaction and linguistic-cognitive skills, guiding feeding skills, participating in rehabilitation planning and assistive device mapping, and contributing to multidisciplinary team work with doctors, therapists, social services, and psychology. You will influence rehabilitation plans and service development. The pediatrics speech therapy service in basic health care operates in Kouvola. As a pediatric speech therapist you will support speech and language development for children of all ages, both individually and in groups. Parental guidance is an essential part of pediatric speech therapy. Experience with children is beneficial but not required — we provide training and support. You are eligible for this role if you hold a licensed speech and language therapist credential with the national register. Success in the role requires the ability to work independently, utilize team support, and participate in service development with others.
